Some of the pictures I shot on my first day of ownership of my K5. Pretty much all of them have been shot with the 18-55 WR kit lens, all of them at the highest quality JPEG quality @ 10MP. I also have RAW/PEFs of all pictures, so I may 'edit' a couple of them a bit, but I decided for now to post them as is:

1/100 - F5.6 - ISO100

1/1600 - F5.6 - ISO100

1/1600 - F5.6 - ISO100

1/125 - F5.6 - ISO200

1/250 - F5.6 - ISO200

1/500 - F4.0 - ISO400
Shot whilst sitting in a train... I do this quite regularly, if the windows of the train aren't too dirty (otherwise all pictures come out blurry and ugly). It can be very difficult to get good shots as you only have one chance to get them... but I guess that's the fun of photography whilst on the move!

1/500 - F5.6 - ISO400

1/320 - F5.6 - ISO200

The shots were made whilst traveling by public transport: Some pictures from inside vehicles, some whilst waiting for the bus/train to arrive. The main goal was to get used to the camera and to see how good the image quality is. The weather was very interesting today, and so were the lighting conditions that resulted from that. I really love clouds, and I am very impressed with the quality the camera puts out... Finally clouds are more than a grey mess (I often couldn't get the true beauty of clouds pictures with my Sony A200), and I am also very impressed with how lively the pictures look in general... Colour, contrast... I have a lot to learn now to get the maximum potential from this body!

Nice as usual Touge. Skittery bokeh on that 55-300 shot.

The dynamic range of K-5 was extremely useful recently when I took what I consider as an underexposed picture. Only little tweaking within Lightroom, and the results were amazing! Picture taken with my trusted Tamron 17-50mm. (the picture to the right is the original picture)
