Here's what I came up with....
The sensor arrays are indicated by the green & blue lines.
-The vertical legs seem to overlap the adjacent sensors' vertical leg.
-2 AF points will always light up in Auto Select 11 when 1 of the corner AF sensors finds lock...the AF point for the sensor finding lock and the adjacent AF point in the direction (vert or horiz) of the array doing the locking. For example, if the vertical array of the Upper Right AF sensor area finds lock, the Center Right AF point will light as well. If the horizontal array of the Upper Right AF sensor finds lock, the Upper Center AF point will light.
2 AF points MAY light up in Auto 5...if the adjacent sensor in the direction of the array finding lock is active. For example, if the vertical array of the Upper Center AF area finds lock, the Center AF will light too. If the horiz array of the Upper Center finds lock, it will be the only one to light (since upper left and upper right are inactive).
