I have just about every prime they have on that map (excluding the D-FA55 and D-FA25 and FA45 and the slower FA 300mm f/5.6). It is good that they are intent on providing more zooms, because that is what I will be looking for when I'm travelling and have to keep my bag within airline carry-on size limitations.

It does birding quite well though the use of a 1.4 extender is still necessary for full frame 645. with such a lens manual focusing aids are a necessity, therefore I expect pentax or some third party such as Katz-eye to come out with a replacement screen that provides them.

Wow good news such a roadmap. Wouldn't 90mm be just a little short as a hi-class portrait lens?

I wonder if the 90m is also a macro? And the two new zoom look like a replacement for some of the FA models. And if they keep working on AW lenses, this will be great. It is nice to see them filling out the line in a steady fashion.

90 mm is tentative focal range. It could be 80-110 mm.

Why is there a grey dot with the 600mm lens? because it is A* instead of FA?

Thanks a lot for the info, looks like they may roll out the full-frame version of 645d in 2013, and renew the existing zoom lenses.

Then a totaly different question: Should there be lens stabilisation in future lenses? Ofcourse this is not relevant for the ultra wide angle 25mm. For portrait this could be a different story.

good question, however I don't see pentax doing this in any case... for starters no other manufacturer has. The optical tolerances these lenses have to be built to are quite high because of the 40Mp resolution the 645D has, there is a lot that can go wrong that wouldn't be visible on a lower resolution camera.

incidentally if pentax does make a new macro lens, I would prefer it to be somewhere in the 200mm range. On full frame 645 with the120mm f/4 you have to get too close to subjects as it is....but I admit I am somewhat biased by my use of the optically stellar Pentax FA*200mm f/4 ED [IF] and the Sigma 180mm f/3.5 APO EX

My question is when will any of these lenses on the roadmap be available in the USA
Or is this whole thing just for the japan market?

As things were with the 645D these lenses will most likely be available for the Japanese market initially, and if demand is high enough they will be made available internationally. Hoya/Pentax seems to be using it's consumer base in Japan as a litmus test to determine the market for new products.
