This is a shot done on expired Kodak TMax shot with sunny 16 rule and bumped up 2 stops for backlit subjects. The battery on my lightmeter died earlier in the afternoon and I had to guess.

Taken with the Pentax 67 with S-M-C Takumar 6X7 55mm f/3.5 lens. Scanned with a Pentax K10D using the SMC PENTAX-DA 1:2.8 35mm Macro Limited lens on a light table illuminated with the AF 540 FGZ strobe in PTTL mode. Flipped in Lightroom 3 and contrast adjusted with point curves.

This isn't appearing for me - I can click and view it on Flickr (nice shot), but doesn't show in the forum.

Thanks for the reminder - I had made an edit in LR and reuploaded to Flickr and it does not keep the same link.

The Sunny 16 rule is not fooled by back-light subjects. Shadows pretty much have the same EV value no matter what direction you're looking. Nice job working without a meter. Placing your shadows near zone V worked.

I finally took the jump and got myself a nice Pentax 67 with 3 lenses, the 75, 90 and 200. Here are pictures from my first few rolls. Since I have no light meter at this time I used the Sunny 16 rule and guessed the exposure.

I really like the second picture with the water going over the dam. I like how you've made the image darker. A real contrast to the first shot. It's good to see both so that you can identify how lighting changes over the course of an afternoon.

Thanks for the comments, both shots were taken at an interval of no more then 45 minutes but the light was constantly changing that afternoon. I scanned my negs using an HP Scanjet G4050 at 2400 dpi and other then removing some of the largest dust particle I did not do any PP and used the file right from the scanner. Going back to B&W MF is a lot of fun.

Nice shots, but I'd suggest that they need a decent amount of sharpening in PP.

My first contribution here taken with Pentax 645NII and Fuji Acros 100.
Pictures were taken in sunny Reunion Island (Indian Ocean).

Picture 1: Vue on St Pierre (Réunion Island)

Picture 2: Street portrait (several m wide and around 2m high). Taken with FA75.
