I got the word that the street price has come down to about 7,600,000yen, about 8,200 dollars, already down about $1,000.

I guess you mean 760,000 yen

I think Yodobashi has charged 763,200 all the time since it appeared on their web pages months ago (really 848,000, but 10% bonus on their card).
