COL: That link is to the old non-OS version of the 150mm Macro, the new version has OS but the details aren't on the site just yet. TBH though I don't remember reading the new version would be out in a Pentax mount. I don't know if the OS will be that great in a macro but it would still be great to have that 150/2.8 in a Pentax mount!

When I paused the video I didn't spot anything different in the lens designation
I failed to incorporate the Youtube interview in but here's a link.

cool...he does say PENTAX... thanks for the video...now the decision is the 100WR vs. the 150/2.8 OS if the K5 tethering addition does indeed materialize by official release date...nice choices!

The only difference between the two sample's developement is that the nikon file has a +1EV exposure correction, while the pentax file has only 0.26EV.
This pushes ISO to 7660 vs 12800 resp. No exp. correction is required for a meaningful comparison.

My K-7 on tour :)

Pentax 645D - sie kommt! | photoscala

Just wanted to share: the camera in the middle (the K-7) is mine! With the 35mm Macro. They ran out of K-5 for a size comparison shot and so I helped out. I had a very nice conversation with the freelance author for photoscala.de too. He was very knowledgable about things pentax and actually thought the APS-C only strategy (still) plays to Pentax advantage. He's a Sony shooter himself.

Also, I'd like to thank everyone else for stressing over the specs so I don't have to. I'll just sit back and let you all get it worked out.
Same here. Just let me know whether it's good or not

1) Is it possible to check if the AF Light on the K-5 can be turned on?

With my K-7 it's almost useless as it doesn't activate on anything except complete darkness... I would like an option to turn it ON! This would save me more times than i can count.

2) Also are any of the HDR modes now available while shooting RAW?

3) Is NR automatically activated in RAW @ any ISO? (Can i turn it of completely?)

I hope soon K-5 sample images will kill the deep down desire inside of me that wishes I were a Sony shooter myself...

Yes, I noticed that too. Of course the perspective causes this and I believe the image creates a bit of an optical illusion because the cameras are not aligned with the rear edge of the table. The latter and the shadow in front of the cameras (subconsciously?) serve as perspective reference but the cameras are not aligned with that assumed perspective.

Indeed. It's not a good angle for a comparison shot. It should have been shot straight on, and with a pretty long FL. Not to mention, putting the 35/2.4 on the K-7 and the 18-135 on the K-r increasingly skews size appearances. On a side angle like that, whatever is closest to the camera will look bigger.

QOUTE:

Its possible....the shutter blur issue is a bummer on K-7's out in the field.
Once the problem is known and analysed, experienced engineers would likely have little difficulty mitigating or neutralising the issue in a fresh model like the K-5

Hi Falk,
WOuld it be possible for you just to ask straight away to PENTAX if they have adressed the shutter blur issue in the K5 ? (as far as it is an issue for them of course) It should be very much in their interest to say something about it to you isn`t it ?

Just went to Top Camera in Nagoya, the K-x (even smaller) went down to 49,9XX Yen (with 18-55 mm kit lens included).
- Upstairs I bought a used A 50 mm F1.4, probably more expensive than new 35 mm F2.4
