Good news for us macro lovers!
Maybe this will bad news to you but anywat, here it is, received today:

Ok the current version that is out now is:
150mm F2.8 EX DG Macro HSM
That is the one that there are no plans to make for Pentax cameras
.

We just announced the other day plans to introduce a stabilized version of the 150mm Macro lens but they have yet to state if they are going to make it for Pentax.

The response to my query, from Sigma, is rather evasive, don't you think? Will they or not make it in K mount?

Actually there is a YouTube video posted in a thread here somewhere with a Sigma rep and they are discussing the 150/2.8 OS and the 120-300/2.8 lenses. The rep specifically says the 150/2.8 OS WILL be released in a Pentax mount. Of course given the crappy details from almost every MFG this year who knows if that is a lie or not.

Here is the video:

OK, so they will make it for Pentax, and that would make some people happy.

Me? I wish they had also said that they would "eventually" make the 120-300/2.8 available for Pentax as well.
Thanks for the clip.

well, I got the 120-300mm f2.8 for Nikon, very good built, I love it!

I would challenge anybody to hand held the lens for a long period of time, I am pretty well built, this beast gets pretty heavy. OS is not necessary a must have, as soon as you mount the lens on monopod or a tripod, OS won't be useful anyway; I bet the price of the lens would be up from $3000 to at least $3600 to $4000.

I'd rather see an HSM 100-300mm F/4 in Pentax mount...

I really want to kick their asses :P

Now I'd be more inclined to be interested if one of them was an attractive woman.

You could look at this a different way - the new Sigma 150 Macro, the new Sigma 120-300 f2.8, and every other new Sigma lens, along with every current Sigma lens, WILL DEFINITELY be made in Nikon mount, and in Canon mount. No doubt about it. They'll be in stock much more readily in those mounts, too. This is symptomatic of the bone-headed Pentax "bottom feeding" business model that they've been pursuing for decades now, to nobody's detriment but their own. :ugh:

But how does it relate to those two nerds in the video?
