Pentax VS20

From Norwegian foto.no - I have only seen Norwegian and Swedish press releases so far:

Foto.no - Nyheter - Nytt kompaktkamera fra Pentax

Looks pretty good for a P&S, I really like that Pentax are beefing up their P&S range, I think they need that to improve their general market presence.

16mp superzoom with HD movies - looks a lot like the specs for several of the Panasonic superzooms.

That was to be expected, but I like the extra release button in portrait mode

It will cost 2000 Norwegian kroners inclusive the 25% VAT, so given usual price differences it's reasonable to assume that it won't cost much more than $200 in the US (excluding tax).

The "usual price differences" is making me mad. But thanks to the now zero valued dollar we can go to US and buy cheap iPads and cameras.

no GPS? Why? It's in every smartphone. I want geotagging.

I wonder if it will have a better sensor than Pentax usually opt for!

Most of the P&S cameras with it are battery hogs. Company's like Panasonic are essentially offering two identical models - one with and one without GPS.

Looks nice! It would be great for traveling, if I wasn't still using my old Lumix FZ28 for traveling I'd probably sell a lens and scoop this P&S up.

....I just hope this isn't going to be the only thing at CP+...

Cool! Once it's official, we'll post it on the homepage and add the camera to the camera database.

Or, is there already a Norwegian/Swedish VS20 press release out there?
