LOL Timing is everything! But again, no one stopped them from trying to do the reverse engineering as Sigma did.
I have absolutely no problems with fully manual lenses, or "A" lenses to focus manually, but when it comes to longer telephoto - to me, fast and accurate AF is more than a plus (as long as it is also a sharp glass)...
Choices is a good thing!!! I only wish that Pentax themselves offered 70-200 f2.8 SDM and 100-400 f4 SDM at a reasonable price, perfect coverage for so many activities, and would have gained more customers from sports, birding and photojournalism regions...
