Hmmm, I wonder how that will feel? Wondering too if that isn't just a prototype. It's missing the silver shutter release. Probably other differences as I didn't look too hard. Thanx for sharing. Hoping a Japanese reading individual will chime in.

I'd really like that as I do not use a neck-strap - I only ever use a hand-strap. Having that little extra would help.

It's an option to be added on. They won't ship that way.

I'm not so sure that isn't just a demo purely for display, like a cut-away. Of course, I don't read Japanese, so I have no idea what the text says about it.

Got this off from babelfish translation on the last paragraph,

"Presently examines the exchange service of the grip section, the exhibit is seen as the prototype. As for object schedule K20D and K10D. Service start time and fee is undecided. Form of grip actual service is a possibility of differing."

Seems like this is going to be in the production line for newer batch while old batch do have an option to send in and "swap" to the newer grip if one fancy it.

For me, it is a lovely piece of ergonomic design by Pentax. Guess i have another one more reason to save up for it other than the performance "upgrade" from K10D.

You may find this hard to believe but I prefer the original. It is flush with the Battery Grip, where as this prototype protrudes and destroys the movement of the line.
