Brave soul.
I didn't upgrade to V1.05 because frankly I have no idea why new coatings would require an update to the CDAF, I don't intend to get any new HD lens, and do not intend to get one of the new "GZII" flashes either. So there seems to be nothing to be gained except for the introduction of a problem that hitherto didn't exist.
The latter is what may have happened with V1.05 as some users reported problems after they had updated. Given the relatively quick V1.06 follow-up, it seems plausible that indeed something needed to be addressed.
Not sure whether "
Improved stability for general performance" is enough of an incentive for me to fully trust V1.06, given that I don't have any issues with my V1.04. The latter fixed a bug that I actually observed happening.
Hopefully, some are keen on the published improvements and will report whether there are any unpublished improvements as well.
If only one could downgrade then upgrading wouldn't be the slightly risky one-way street it currently is.
