Shouldn't this suggest to us that a K-3 release is coming in a month or two, at which point a new K-5 will run less than $999? I haven't followed product release for Pentax, but I am sure some of you have.....

I had been planning on ordering a K-5 for months and finally did from B&H on the 24th for $1199. Just called them and they price matched it for $999. Thanks for the heads up!

Heads up: Amazon has the K-5 coming up in their Cyber Monday Lightning sales in half an hour. This may be the $999 mentioned, or it might be an extra discount.

Darn - I've been waiting patiently for such a deal, and some how I missed it. I wonder how long I will have to wait for a repeat deal?

There are a number of K-5's on Ebay for $999 and less from various dealers.

Probably at most dealers by now.
