Even if you can't make it to the store, it's $499 on their website in all three colors.

Perfect, I just ordered one. Great deal for sure--looks aside from what folks say. This will be used, I like the focus peaking along with a viewfinder. Thanks.

With a Bricks and Mortar store, probably. It certainly can't hurt to ask.

Asked, and got denied, reason given was "That price is lower than our cost" and "they are selling kit with lens for $100 lens than just body, that does not make sense" quotes from Hershey on the phone.

I feel the burn specially because I got one from B&H for $619

Just to make sure I emailed them to insure it was new, rather than refurbished. Email response said it was new. Unbelieveable deal.

Yes, and the K-5 is now down to $704 through Amazon and one of their affiliates.

I'm still a bit off from having this kit. I've got about $238 put away in my Hello Kitty bank. (Would have had a body at least by now but then the cat needed to be vetted and then put down and that just wiped my kit savings out. I've had to slowly rebuild that and pay the rest of his vet bill at the same time.) I'm actually waiting on a certain camera store to confirm that they are indeed an authorized Pentax seller. So far no reply but they want like $600 for the 18-55 and a crystal red K-30 (or $549 for just a body) and I am SO tempted. I wanted to ask them if they would do the red with the 18-135mm and if so at what price. They have the black K-30 kit with that lens at a very nice price though not the lowest I've seen, but I really want that blood red cam if I can get it.

That's my dream K-30 kit since I first saw a pic of the K-30 and I would just KILL, lol. But I am wondering if they are legit or if they are like Electronics Basket and just selling gray market cams. If I am going to buy inexpensive and used, I'm buying inexpensive and used and I don't really expect a warranty, $400 or less and I figure I shouldn't care as much, but if I'm spending $500-1000 it had better be for a new cam and lens and I will need a warranty, thanks.

I've seen the black K-30/18-135mm kit for under 1K now though on Amazon, but it looks to me like that price is gray market and it's usually from Electronics Basket and from their feedback I don't think Pentax is warrantying cameras from them, unfortunately. I see that red body though and I am so tempted, sigh. I'm due a credit limit increase probably end of June. If they give me another $250-500,and likely they will, I will probably go for a K-30 body/kit of some sort. I'll put the money I've saved back on the credit card and use the limit increase to go for it. I want the kit with the 18-135mm though if I can get it. For work that lens is just about perfect and it definitely makes more sense to grab it in the kit than to pay full retail for it.

Thank you so much for this link! I've never heard of Hunt's before and would never have found this. I've been wishing and waiting to purchase a K-30, and this deal was too sweet to pass up. I ordered a white one, plus a 35 2.4 lens because it was actually in stock and a great price too. I'm too excited! Happy early Mother's Day to me.
