It seems the first version (K-5, K-01, etc) you linked is OOS. Would the 2 year warranty covering all current Pentax models cover the K-01? - since it is "officially" discontinued.

Today's the 30th day from my purchase, I just learned about this now, unfortunately...

Yes, it should cover the 01, it's what I bought with my 01

Since I haven't purchased an extended warranty before... We can purchase this from adorama even if our original camera purchase within 30 days was from say, hunts photo?

So, I just found this thread and didn't know about this deal. My amazon account history says that I placed the order for my K5ii June 13, tracking says it showed up June 17. I guess I missed out, or are they that strict on the within 30 day limit?

I tried ordering from the last link (current models) and it's out of stock but backordered. Does anyone know how that affects the 30 days from original purchase?

I think it goes by the invoice date, so you should be fine
