Authorized Pentax dealer selling 01 Prime by itself!

Carman's Foto Source in Ontario (also known on eBay as Prodigital2000) is a well-known authorized Pentax dealer in Canada, and I just spotted this in their online store:
Pentax 8.5mm f1.9 Standard Prime Lens for Q (47mm Equivalent) - SLR & Compact System Lenses - Carman's Foto Source | Product Specifications

I really doubt this is a "pull" from an existing kit (which I don't think an authorized Pentax dealer can do), so this may mean the 01 Prime will be available to Q10 buyers as well. And under "accessories," they mention the lens hood "MH-RA 40.5mm."

Good find. It even appears to come with the $50 optional hood! Wow!

I bought both my Pentax Q and My Pentax K-X though these guys reputable and they email you a nice PDF invoice for guarantee purposes

Good to know. I already have the 01 but for many it was a tough choice on their Q/Q10 kit purchase. Having the 01 Prime available as a stand alone lens purchase is the right thing to do at this point to enhance the attractiveness of the Q/Q10 going forward.

Absolutely! While it's true that most "interchangeable lens" camera buyers never take the "kit lens" off the camera, the Q-mount just cries out for this kind of quality prime.
