That's a creative shape that puts lensbaby variants to shame.

MC MTO-11CA 10/1000mm M42

And now for something completely different...

Soviet MC MTO-11CA 10/1000mm M42 mirror lens mounted to Pentax Q through K-Q and K-M42 adapters.
This is the Maksutov-Cassegrain mirror lens with 1000mm focal length so on Pentax Q it gives about 5500m equivalent.

Photographs:
1: Full scene taken with lens (to obtain this size of the object on the photo the photo was taken from about 8-10m distance).
2. Crop of the center part of the photograph (1:1). The aperture in the lens is constant so I show only one exemplary photograph.
3. Pentax Q with mounted lens (or maybe the lens with mounted Pentax Q ).
The focus point was set to centre stick of Bell Sioux cockpit (or I have tried to set it - for this focal length it is challenge).
Photographs were developed in LR. Due to high sesitivity the some denoise and sharpening was used.

As you can see the lens unfortunately gives ugly IQ on Pentax Q. The IQ on the APSC Pentax was also not too good (but much better).

That might be one to put in the bad lens thread - Odd couplings / Inappropriate lenses for the Q. And if there was a winner in that category, you'd have a real contender there.

Pentax 110 50mm 2.8 with Soligor 1.7x teleconverter

Tried it out at the lake. Tripod mounted. The Soligor converter makes it an 85mm f4.7 lens optically, but there is also a waterhouse stop built into the converter. Don't know how much more that decreases exposure. Shot wide open without the Lensbaby aperture disc in the Q-110 adapter. Captured in Raw with normal sharpening and adjustments. Surprised at how useable and tiny this is. The converter is much smaller than the 50 f2.8 or Pentax 01 prime.
thanks

Just picked up the 1.7x as well. I am tempted to remove the built-in aperture reducer to see what happens...

SMC PENTAX-M ZOOM 1:4 75-150mm (asahi)

Just bought this lens for £18 on Ebay. The lens was fitted with the new fotodiox adapter. It's a nice lens to use, movement is very smooth. Pictures are not great as I am quite inexperience and didn't have much time but they should give an indication of the lens capabilities.
I've also put some shot from the pentax Q 02 zoom for comparison. I've tried to insert the photo but it didn't work, so here are the links: All shot from the same point.

Tamron 25mm f/1.6 C mount

The Tamron 25mm (23FM25 for 2/3rds inch sensors) has no major apparent optical weaknesses mounted on the Q. It has the usual blooming wide open, but optics are very good by f/2.8, and excellent at f/4. Sharpness is nearly uniform from center to corners, with no apparent light fall off. Quite similar in IQ to the Fujian 35mm, but with greater saturation and contrast due most likely to superior lens coatings. Superb build quality. The Fujian might be slightly sharper at f/4, but the Tamron is better at f/2-2.8. Physically, the focus and aperture settings line up properly. Focus is smooth but very firm (almost difficult given the lack of any gripping material and small metal lens barrel diameter). Aperture clicks at each stop. Iris is six blades and looks normal to f/2, star shaped from f/2.8 through f/5.6, and then normal rounding stopped down. Oddly, the bokeh is fine throughout the range, although specular highlights give off the star shape (not an extreme effect). You can see in the photo of the camera and lens - a portion of the iris - set at f/4 where the star shape is most apparent. Coupled with the c-mount adapter focus to infinity is exact with the lens screwed in tight. Closing down the aperture does trigger minor focus shift (you can still achieve infinity focus stopped down). All of these shots were taken at close to f/4. Very little done in post processing, with some minor sharpening and contrast enhancement. None of these images needed or received CA removal, but some shots with especially strong or bright edges benefit from relatively minor CA removal.

SMC "K" 135mm f/2.5

Handheld from FAR away at a football game. Tough duty. Will hopefully have better results with a static subject on which it will be easier to focus.

Q7 and SMC Pentax-A 1:2.8 135mm

Hi.

I've just bought the Q7 and the Pentax Q-K adapter.

Here's my first try with SMC Pentax-A 1:2.8 135mm, handheld through a window, aperture 5.6 on the lens (adapter in "L" position). Distance: 300 meters, 1/125s, ISO 400.

Thanks for the contributions.
So was the consensus to give the Q7 it's own section in the index?
Should I create a vote thread or just take the first x out of 10 replies here?

OOOOPS I just added a Q7 section @ 10 this morning

Based on the work that Adam has done on the chart software it would be easy to make a new thread for Q7 only or add Q7 with the same 3 mount options to this chart.

My vote is to keep all the adapted lenses in one thread

You dawg! Oops I think I did a boo boo too!

I will add my preference to keep it in one index. Hmmm... perhaps not everyone in Q land reads these updates.

Oh well it will be easy to change it back if everyone complains.

I think it makes the most sense to keep a single index.
