I have a Lomo Smena 40/4 T-43 lens from a broken Smena 8m that I'm trying to convert into something for the Q, maybe a tilt or macro. To try the macro performance of the lens I did this horrendus looking thing with a toilet paper roll and a rubberband with a magnification about 2.2:1-2.5:1 if I measured correctly. Can you really go cheaper? At least the purple rubberband matches the rest of the setup quite well.
It's pretty much non-handholdable, both optically and build-wise but I got two almost decent ones. Look at the size of the pollen in the pics!
One stabilized shot of the house wall. Once again the size of pollen tells a story.
And now to the set up ones showed in the pic with the lighting.

Quite impressive for a pretty much free diy setup like that ey? Sadly the setup was brutally murdered by its worst enemy, gravity. It had an exciting but short life though.
