| 8478079 | Hidden | A fully working and cosmetically excellent example of the beautiful all-black Asahi Pentax KX. The internal light meter is responding well to changing ambient light levels and the meter is accurate (tested against four other Pentax SLRs). The shutter is firing cleanly at all speeds. It is clean inside with the rear shutter curtain, take-up spool and film runners all in excellent condition. The MLU mechanism, DOF preview, 'Judas Window', self-timer, shutter speed, film speed dial, shutter lock, frame counter, film transport and mirror mechanism are all working correctly. The mirror is unmarked. The focusing screen is very clean and unmarked (a picture of the focusing screen is supplied in the gallery) and the view through the viewfinder is nice and clear although the viewfinder glass does have a short surface scratch at its base although this does not show up when looking through it. The film door light seals and mirror damper have been replaced with new high quality material from Japan Hobby Tool. Cosmetically this Pentax KX is in excellent condition having had only light previous use with a couple of surface scratches to the black paint and a little brassing to the body. There are no dings or dents to the body. I have tried to accurately capture the condition of this camera so... please view the pictures in the gallery for full confirmation of cosmetic condition. Everything shown in the gallery pictures is included in this auction including an SMC Pentax 'K' 55mm f/1.8 (optically, mechanically and cosmetically excellent) supplied with an Asahi Pentax front lens cap, a KX sales brochure, a Pentax thin camera strap with its original rubber shoulder pad and 2 x new A76 1.5V batteries.
