DA* 60-250mm F4, show us what it can do.

I think John M Flores does not own this lens (John?), so let's show him what it's got.

You know, I was actually hoping someone would create this thread... Thanks Bert! I am considering purchasing this lens sometime soon. And that first image is amazing, awesome!

Bert, those images have just sold a bunch of 60-250 f/4!'s Nice shooting there, and that lens looks like a winner.

You are welcome, John!

Here are a few more, the previous stuff was all taken in Zambia.
Now a few 60-250mm examples from Uganda, last month:

I like the kid looking on his knees!

On lake Albert:

Tree lion:

A few gorilla pictures:

Are there any other DA* 60-250mm owners out there?

Great images Bert.

Thanks for sharing. The lion and that last gorilla shot are outstanding. Damn - add this lens that LBA list.

I find the 60-250mm to be very good for "people" shots on the K10D.

It really seems to have come into it's own on the K-7 though.

Great pictures. I rented a 60-250 last year and it failed on me after one picture. The one of the O rings came unseated and would not allow zoom or focus. I have always liked that focal length and think I might someday have to sell my DA*50-135 to buy one. I really like the 50-135 but it stays at home most of the time in favor of my 55-300mm for the extra reach. Anyone own both lenses? Which one is your most used??

I had both. Sold the 50-135mm recently as I never used it, fantastic IQ but the focus speed was just so painfully slow.

that is what I am kind of afraid of happening with mine. I find that family events is the best use I have for the 50-135. Sometimes feel like selling it and getting a 70-200 or the 60-250. I would probably get more use out of one of those.

Thats a shame, I've used my 50-135 to shoot sports with K-7 and got awesome results.
