I've got DA*1650 and 50135, 3x 50s, FA24, a couple of kit lenses (to go w/ my sold K100D cameras), 2x Sigma 1770 (don't ask me why!), all in the past two months

I just picked up a Yashinon DX 28/2.8 M42 lens from a $15 bin. I went to the store with the intent of getting the $40 Super Multi Coated Takumar 135/3.5 I saw (and didn't buy) a month ago... it was gone.

Oh, and I ordered a 400 micron pinhole from Lenox Laser for a Certo Super Dolly I'd taken the lens out of...

At least there's only 1 week left to March...

I keep lying to myself telling that I am a collector and hence, it is not plain LBA. Of course, that is BS. In the last week I have bought a bigma, a SMC 28 f3.5 shift, a Kenko 1.5x, a pancake fisheye, a super-macro-takumar 50 f4 macro, a super-takumar 135 f2.5, a SMC-F35-70 (I just sold one I started to miss it)... As always, I will surrender to the common sense and I will have some of those hitting the market again....or not

What a Relief !!

I've been thinking that I'm on the edge of LBA, but I feel so much better now.

I'm free !! I didn't buy ANY lenses this month.

Yet.

Just books. Thank you, Scott Kelby and David "I'll inscribe it for free" Busch.

Now, can someone please talk me out of the Sigma 10-20 I've been daydreaming about ????

Sure. Buy the Pentax 12-24 instead. It's a much better lens, and you can always back up enough to get the rest of the scene in ...

I guess I should fess up and admit to picking up a couple of Super Taks, a 50mm/F1.4 and a 135mm/F3.5. Also received a Vivitar 28mm/2.5 as part of the lot that came with the 50/1.4. I did manage to move a few lenses out in the process. That's my justification for those purchases...

I can't take it!

I'm trying so hard not to buy anything right now!

Please, someone buy all the 50mm lenses and the 85 f2.0 on the second page so I can't buy them! Lenses

Seriously, I was thinking of getting the 85, but after some thinking, decided I want either the DA70, 77Ltd, or the 50-135.

I've been reading some very good posts on the 77Ltd and the 50-135, so I'd rather wait a little for one of those beauties.

I have a new 50-200, which I haven't even done a decent portrait test with yet. I know the IQ won't be the same as the other two, but then again I usually shoot soft portraits, so it may be good enough.

No f2.8 bokeh though.

I did take some nice shots of my friend's kids over the weekend with the 16-45, and while the IQ is there, it's just a tad short for portraits in my opinion.

Let's face it: Every month is LBA month!

I own an 85 f/2, and, let me tell, you, its..... Horrible. Can't do anything with it. You don't want it, it's terrible. (there, that make you feel better?

Actually, I'm lying. It's probably my 3rd favorite lens of all time.

Anyway, you should really consider the 200mm f/4's on the first page - $69 for a n "E" rating. I sold a mint one last month, and I kinda regret it now...

Here, look at these images and then go to Adorama, drop $69 for the M200 f4, and that will satisfy your LBA for the month, and you'll get out cheaply:

I might swing by there this weekend. Don't know if I need any more 50's but that 85/2.0 is lookin' juicy right about now...

Very nice pictures, jsherman999.

For the money, that 200 is definitely worth it. You are a very persuassive salesman!

I do want to try to stick to my plans, and get a 70, 77Ltd or the 50-135 as soon as possible.

Any one of the above lenses with a Tiffen Warm Soft F/X 3 filter on it would be portrait heaven to me.

Then again, at $249 that 85 is mighty tempting.

Thanks for the info.

I don't have most of my good 85mm images, they're on DVD's 200+ miles away and on an external hard drive that I loaned to someone to make some prints, but here ya go for a quick 85mm fix:

Yeah, I can see; that 85 makes a great portrait lens.

Thanks again.

Well, I just bought a mint M 85mm f/2.0 three days ago.

In 2 days I should have the M 135mm f/3.5 and the A 28mm f/2.8 (both pending condition) I haven't seen them in person yet however, I'm told they are fine. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

I'm in the same league:

Only this month I bought:
  • DA 70 Limited
  • DA 21 Limited
  • A 100 f/4 macro
  • Tamron 80-200 f/2,8 adaptall
  • Katz Eye screen

and still eagerly awaiting the DA 35 limited...
