Originally posted by mille19 I've just sold my Sigma 100-300mm F4, don't get me wrong the Sigma is a very good lens, it's just that I take mainly wildlife shots and found that 95% of my photo's were taken at 300mm.
I decided to go for the prime hoping that I'd be more successful using it with my Kenko 1.5X and Pentax 1.7X converters. My first impressions are I think I've made the right decision. The weather hasn't been kind but I've managed a couple of shots with the Kenko (SDM still works!) and they look pretty good, I'll be trying to get some more test shots in soon.
So, were all the other shots (birds, reptiles, insects and the like) in your website taken with the sigma 100-300 F4, thanks. You have some spectacular shots there. I really wanted the DA* 300mm and I couldn't wait any longer and bought the Sigma 100-300 F4 last week. If the prime is SIGNIFICANTLY better then I will switch, thus the question. Thanks.
May be I can even return the zoom.
Anyhow, curious to know whether the rest of your shots were taken with the sigma zoom.
Thanks.
