A great lens. Looks awesome on any camera. German girls love the K f1.2 on an ME camera.

(Note: tested on only one fraulein.)

Also this lens shouldn't cost you more than $25 AU...

*legs it like the Dickens*
Holy ****! where can I get a f1.2 for $25AU?! I assume you already know I am not talking about f1:2 (which you clearly say K f1.2)...

I am almost betting my left nut he is talking about the f/2 or 1:2 or however you prefer... and not f/1.2 or 1:1.2.

I still see many people confuse on the that... which sometime make sellers in EvilBay very happy...

f1.2 = f1:1.2 ( Big Big aperture, which allow more light to go through )
f2 = f1:2 ( Smaller Aperture than f1.4)

But if lithos really found a 50mm f1.2 at $25Au, I want to let him/her know that I am willing to pay double for it.

I swear to you all on my pair of ME Supers and the packets of Agfa paper I found in the closet at my last house, it is the f1.2 version.

Pics of lens to follow, and you'll see why...

Here's a photo, though, of the f1.2 in action, at f1.2 K100D, ISO800, converted to BW manually (a task that took nearly an hour as I sought the right tone...)

Check the bokeh. That's eight aperture blades, wide open, baby.

It's a street shot, at night, believe it or not, outside the Step Inn (geddit?) at the top of Brunswick Street in The Valley.

Lithos, you might get it for a good deal, but saying it shouldn't cost more than 25AUD is just exaggerating. The lens definitely cost more back then, and it still should cost more than 25AUD now .

Just to be a little pedantic you'll note that when the lens is at its widest aperture the aperture blades are actually almost fully retracted so they don't affect the shape of specular highlights or bokeh at all. I've had at least one A50/1.2 since the late 80's, great lens.

How does that price compare to the usual price? The "Buy Now" price is $US579.98.
