Here's a shot with the M100 f2.8, which I took after getting some advice from this thread about how to use it! It's getting there..
The car is an old Holden of some description, I think. Note the bullet hole in the windscreen.

Mitsubishi Magna (I thin TN model) 2.6L Astron motor ... brand new they were a pile of crap as well.

SMC M 100 f/2.8

.

Went to the same place I took my 50-135 to yesterday. The M 100 2.8 hangs with it in every way, maybe surpasses it.

Oooh, they are so sharp! Isn't it a gorgeous lens to work with - so light, so versatile, such tasteful bokeh and colour. Some truly lovely shots here. So what's your caption for the third photo? I'd be tempted to put "Howard, you really want us to spank you in public?"

Ah, a Mitcherbitcher. The owner obviously thought it was a pile of crap, too.

That was a comedy "Improv" troup doing a skit. They guy in the red doesn't
know who the bald guy is acting as, and he's supposed to guess by listening
to clues. (the bald guy was 'being' actor Brendan Fraser.)

Great Shots bruloup

Bruloup, I love the 3rd shot with the insulators and the last shot with the broken windows. Brilliant! The Depth of field on that 28mm is really demonstrated in the broken window shot. I'm staill awaiting delivery on my 28mm today. How exciting. Thanks for your post. Beautiful pics!!!!

Love the bolts and the waterline. Good work. Nice lense, I'll have to pick one of those up too.

Although it's wrong for this situation (the subject, American Goldfinch, is shy, tiny and FAST ), this lens can be surprising.

Full image, then crop.

M Club

Always fun to see what's going on in the M Club. Those goldfinches don't sit still very long do they Michael? I've been trying to get a good shot of one all summer. No luck so far. This is my best to date. Don't these guys know we are focusing manually?

As confession - this image was a product of my K 300 so I'm technically trespassing in this thread. I talked to a bird guy yesterday and he suggested that you pretty much have to find a area where they (Goldfinches) are feeding and wait them out. Once they get used to you your odds improve. After that his advice was to get a big lens and get close.
