The camera is a Maximar 207/3 and the lens was designed to cover a 6x9cm negative. APS-C coverage is not a problem.
Yes, I originally began the project hoping to achieve infinity focus with the rise/fall and side-to-side adjustments (that the Maximar give me). However, the front of the pentamirror on the K200D protrudes, which means you need to put an extension off the back of the film back. This adds to the amount of back focus needed to achieve infinity. I might be able to shave 6mm more (or so) off of it before the back starts scraping the front of the pentamirror housing (when mounting the lens).
But to achieve infinity, the lens must be almost back into the "box" (meaning that you can't do the front standard adjustments as you can with the lens extended).
Basically, you have to add the original film plane to the sensor image plane and then try to get that much back travel on the front lens position. Once you move the lens back off of the original front track, you lose the ability to focus with the original Zeiss-Ikon focus knob.
