LBA? Oh yeah...

That LBA bug got me, REALLY BAD!!

(Dr. Clarence: I think I could be cured of my LBA for now, but I will still need some meds after my wife gives me the earful )

Today, I drove 1 hour north of Toronto (to Barrie) with the intent of purchasing two 28mm lenses.

When I came out, not only did I get the 2 SMC 28mm lenses (K 28/3.5 and M 28/2.8) but I got a Pentax SMC zoom (M 35-70/2.8-3.5) AND a Vivitar zoom (FA mount 70-300/4.2-3.8 1:4 macro)!!!

The glass in the lenses are in top shape and the bodies of the Pentax lenses are in near mint condition.

Sadly, there's something wrong with the aperture lever on the Vivitar. I'm not too worried as I didn't spend much on this one. I'll be picking around to see if I can revive it but could use some pointers.

Pictures below. I'm really looking forward to this weekend to test these out.

To Mo: Please use the solo pics of the K28/3.5 and the M35-70/2.8-3.5 for the lens database.

There should be a law requiring lens sellers include a free set of earplugs and two aspirin with every purchase.

And a set of blinders like horses wear so you can see the lens you came to buy and ONLY the lens you came to buy! Plus a written page of ready made excuses to give the spouse/s.o.

lol - I'm surprised you didn't find the meaning of it over here! It's tough. But I know I won't be going after anything for a while now. These lenses, including my current lenses, cover my ranges from 10mm to 300 (provided I fix up the Vivitar).

That's a suggestion

I was thinking one of those "silence chambers" that were used to use in some of those old '80s TV game shows. Hopefully stops the yelling, as well as any thrown objects.

That's good! now what can be done about my current situation? "She" hasn't found out yet.

My wife will be at the mall tomorrow, so it's a given what I'll be doing

Thanks Randy! Oh BTW, I was given a lens hood for one of my lenses (it fit so I said ok), but when I looked at it at home I discovered it was for your 135mm you got a couple days back.

I gotta get it to you somehow.

No, this was a private sale. The gentleman still has a M50/2 and an MX and KX film body.

Don,t worry alvin, after my last lens I have to paint the bedroom It was a smc a35-70f4 and I use it a lot, I like the range and the macro focus. Oh well, it's raining ice right now so might as well paint tomorrow.(If I get a 300mm I might have to paint the house!)
