FA77 and DA70 WIDE OPEN images: Let see 'em!

I want to see wide open pics with both lens. I have the DA70 and I'm happy with the wide open performance. Is the FA77 really that much better?

I'm not looking for a comparison of these lenses in general (we have enough of those threads already). I'm really interested in wide open performance, particularly when it comes to full body or half body portraits.

Here's one from the 10D with the 77ltd at 1.8. It's cropped down from a landscape to a portrait (in order to post it.) Also a copy of the original resized. The focusing was off somewhat and the shot was handheld but here it is anyways. Hope this helps...
(PS Hard to believe on a May long weekend, but it's currently snowing slightly here today. Therefore an appropriate picture...)

I use the DA70 extensively and it's amazing. A lot of my shots here are with the DA70:

I'm sure the FA77 would be just as impressive.

FWIW, the Photozone MTF numbers for the FA77 wide open are nothing to write home about, but of course, wide open for the FA77 is close to a stop faster than it is for the DA70. By the time you stop the FA77 down to f/2.4, it's probably similar to the DA70, at least in the center. The DA70 still wins in the corners, according to the numbers.

My wide open DA70 shots are mostly high ISO, often with some amount of subject motion, so they are unlikely to be all that impressive in terms of pure sharpness. But what the heck:

not a portrait, just an image that shows the FA77 f/1.8's surreal bokeh

Thanks guys...

I think art2D2's shots have convinced me that I made the right choice (and saved some $$$ in the process). No need to revisit this issue again. I'll juts have to take the 70 out and see what it can do...

So far, I don't think it's been fair--one guy with a 70 who shoots professional hotties vs. a couple of gray haired men with the 77.

Based on this, I would have chosen the 70 too!

But since you've already made your choice, I think you should just enjoy it

No no no, Maxwell.
Don't close this thread yet. I'm sure there is still more people want to see this comparison. I'm one of them
Art2D2's photos really show the DA*70's strength for portrait.
I'm waiting to see someone post a model shoot series with 77Ltd. ..please?

I think these are the closest I have to wide-open on the DA 70 (f/2.8):

I have a ton of f/4 examples.
