It is what it says in the description; a special version of the 50mm f/1.2 A Pentax lens that was cast in a silver body instead of a black one with the standard focusing ring. It is made to look like a Limited lens, but it is still manual-focus. As far as more detailed information like production times, I don't have that.

That lens was sold with the titanium LX Special as pictured here in the data base. I think this is also called the LX 2000 and was released as a 75th Anniversary item.

I would love to have that lens hood & cap for my black A50/1.2 Might be better if it were black though. I'm trying to figure out if there is a combination of generic metal standard length lens hood for 52mm, and then a limited lens cap to fit over it. I think if I could find a hood to fit under the 31 limited cap, that might work...

Silver A 50/1.2 is of course good looking and all that. But it does not really justify the price tag in that auction mentioned above... IMHO of course. I've regular A 50/1.2 in black and it is excellent photographic tool.

If you wilfully bought a camera and lens like that then I think you don't know anything about photography at all
