[SOLD] FS: Lester A. Dine 105/2.8 Macro

I purchased this from a dentist and it is in great shape.
I would rate it as 9/10.
There are no scratches on the lens and no fungus either.
Aperture is snappy.
No oil noted.
There are a few small flecks of dust inside but it does not affect picture quality.

As a bonus, a manual will be enclosed with the purchase.

Edit: Asking $285 + shipping for this rare lens.

sorry for big pictures, but it should help clarify the quality of the lens.

Awesomely sharp

Hi
For those not familiar with this lens, I've used one for a while now and it's capable of photos so sharp that your eyes will bleed! Seriously, this is a lovely lens, and built like the proverbial tank. Images are on the cool side compared to my smc Pentax 100/4 macro, but easily warmed up for those who like a warmer tone in post-processing. The A-setting means that it works like a charm on the Pentax digital bodies. I've also used it for portraits and there the very fast f2.8 is great, as it's not quite as brutally sharp at that aperture as stopped down

I do think the price being asked is a bit high, but let the market speak! Whoever gets this won't be sorry. It's a keeper for me.

This lens' body very much resembles the Kiron 105mm/2.8. Does anyone know if they are the same technically, too?

They're the same specifications and therefore identical.

I was wondering why the hell it was relevant that you bought it from a dentist...until I saw the pictures on the barrel. I guess dentists don't know how to focus, or something...

Looks like a beautiful lens. Good luck!
