For Sale - Sold: FS: FA 35mm F2

I have a 2 month old FA 35, no photos of the lens because it is in brand new condition. Everything that came inside the box will be included, including hood, bag, original caps and warranty card

I will also try to include the B&H invoice as well so that you can get any warranty service if required. The lens is sharp as tacks, it's just that I don't feel like I enjoy using it and am interested in a DA40 (which i will entertain trades). I paid $299 USD + Shipping + Taxes + Duty so it's gonna hurt to sell it at a loss

($280) $260 CDN + shipping, Paypal (more for CCs)
a lens that sits around has no value at all. price reduced.

FWIW, I just bought one from a user here for a very similar price and in excellent condition. You have a very sharp price considering how new it is. If you look at it like a 31mm Ltd "lite", like I am, then it's a great pickup with consistently good reviews.

Sure it lacks a few extra blades that give the 31mm its trademark buttery bokeh, but the 35mm was an easy decision for me at the price.

fair price... i would've picked it up for that price if I didn't already own one. I'm actually considering selling mine to make room for the DA35.

B&H sells new for USD $300 + USD $8.45 shipping + no tax outside of NY.
so how much is the savings for somebody in USA to buy from you ? USD $10-$15 ?

probably not so appealing to American buyers but maybe more to Canadians because they would save a good chunk on taxes, but it's hard to sell any lower, i think i'm losing $100 just by selling it at this price

Your competition -

$299 - Adorama sold me brand new - my warranty card, no shipping, no sales tax, no PayPal, no currency risk, no-question returns and my salesman knows me.

My suggestion is to take it down for a few weeks, take some photos (maybe one of it mounted on your K100d with a P&S) and put it back up in late May when the special US tax refund checks start hitting the mailboxes.

Hey monocrome, thanks for the input! fyi usually it's forum policy to discuss prices over PM but i don't mind, i not in the business to rip anyone here off. i realize the deal is not very good for americans because you have so many sources to get photographic equipment at low prices, but in canada, sales tax alone is 10%+, so for any canadian buyers buying second hand is a big savings.
