Hin, you're finally letting go of that Tokina, huh? I'm sure it's not easy. I have a copy that I bought just to try it out (based on your posts) and then sell it, but I'm liking it so much I don't know if I'll be able to sell it It's been my walk-around for the last 4-6 weeks.

If anyone cares for my opinion (in case Hin's pics aren't testament enough), this Tokina lens has extremely good IQ, colour and contrast, and is sharp wide open, something you can't say about many zooms of today.

Good luck, Hin. Stay strong!

Hin you are letting that tokina go really cheap. I have seen lots of great shots from it. If I did not have the 28-75 tamron, I would snap this up...

Also I had no idea the pentax 28-105 was the same size as the Kit lens. The photos from it look really good.

Good luck with the sale....

I am still ready when you decide the 19-35AF needs a new home

Price for FA 28-105 f/3.2-4.5 lowered + free flash

Mis & Gus, thanks for the comments on the Tokina and for now, I have sold it to myself. I am such as loser in withdrawing this lens a couple of times. I have sent separate PM to Mis and ask his opinion to keep the lens. And Gus, I will update you if I ever sell my Tokina 19-35 f/3.5-4.5

Price for SMC FA 28-105 f/3.2-4.5 is lowered from $185 to $175 for quick sale to further trim my gear Hin's Camera Gear - Hin's Tech Corner. Buyer of lens can request a free flash from me -- Eyetek Digital Flash DS328AZ. I paid $48+shipping on the flash.

Thanks,
Hin

Film shots of Pentax FA 28-105 on PZ-1 [SOLD]

Here are few shots using film on Pentax PZ-1 with Fujifilm 400. The lens works very well in Pentax PZ-1 as the focal range in 28-105 is more versatile without the digital cropping. The focus throw is short with 1/4 turn and combined with the fast AF in Pentax PZ-1, the two come out as a winner pair in film SLR.

Hope someone is looking for this lens. Priced to sell with a free flash.

Thanks,
Hin

PM answered on FA 28-105 f/3.2-4.5, item is still available. Price unchanged.

I have made Tokina available once again. I am a total loser in selling this lens and I have upped the price to $85 for how much I find it worth. I added in a Maxtec 62mm circular polarizer along with a Tiffen 62mm red filter to the Tokina lens purchase.

A $48.00 flash is free to whoever buys the first lens, no price reduction from original lens price if flash is not of interest to you.

Much thanks,
Hin

Thank you Jamie, you will like the lens. For the flash, I would suggest you can try it as an external flash as I have sent you the complete package including an external braket. This flash, though not as powerful, have a amazingly fast recharged speed. I fall short in testing it fully as it is quite limited in no adjustment to flash strength and limited to f/2.8 aperture setting.

Tokina is still available

here are some extra pictures

Few test pictures from Yesterday

This lens has a loose focusing ring design. I always like this type of focusing ring that seems harder to use in the beginning, but once you manage to control the grip using thumb and middle finger and turn with index finger, you cam control how loose (or fast and precise) to go in focusing. The lens works well in trap focusing. I have similar lens like this Tokina lens: Pentax K 45-125 f/4.0 and Prakticar 28-70 f/3.5-4.8 that I make use of the fast focusing ring for action shot in manual focusing. I fell short in shooting BIF as it was late last night. I would try it again later on seagulls close by

cropped heavily as the seagull is far

Price for tokina reduced from $85 to $69. Lens purchase includes a Maxtec 62mm Circular Polarizer and a Tiffen 62mm red filter. I will add in a free tele-zoom lens case that is good for the size of DA 50-135 or that of the Tamron 70-300 .

Due to lack of interest, I have withdrawn the sale for Tokina. PM me and make offer if you are interested in the lens. Please remember the lens purchases come with a Maxtec 62mm circular polarizer, Tiffen 62mm red filter and a Kalimer big lens case suitable for large tele zoom housing.

After 1.5 month of trimming, I have cut down my gear by half and I am grateful to all of my buyers of previously sold items -- Hin's Camera Gear

Thanks!
