Hello all,
I'm selling my FA*300/4.5. I'm sure there's no need to praise this lens as it's well known to be one of the finest of it's generation.
Reason is I'm getting a DA*300/4 instead. I don't like the extra weight as well as losing the ease of AF with a teleconverter (SDM appears to be a bit problematic with a TC), but I need full weather sealing on my next trip, and I would hate to have a fine lens go to ruin because of the dusty circumstances I'll be using it in...
My FA*300/4.5 is in excellent state with only minor use marks on the barrel. The hood it comes with is new as I only got it a few months ago when I replaced the old one (when I busted one of the wheels it attaches with when trying it on a friend's lens that had a different mount). This allowed me to learn that my FA*300 is a latest generation one, because it had four wheels to attach the hood rather than 3 on the older ones.
The glass is absolutely mint, and as such it is the sharpest telelens I ever owned. I'm hoping the DA*300 will be as good...
It comes with a custom made tripod mount collar. I ordered this in Australia in order to mount the lens onto a tripod in a well balanced way. I works fine, although it's not perfect. You can see a similar one here on Lance's thread on the other forum:

Mine had a black screw instead of a silver one, but it's identical for the rest.
Obviously, front and rear caps are included as well. No pouch however.
I'm asking
EUR 750 for this excellent piece of glass (not including shipping), which should be a bargain.
