Just your basic 500mm F8 cat lens with all it's pros and cons. Has all three rear filters (Sky, 2x and 4x ND) with box and case. Works as advertised - no dings or dents and optically clean.
I'd rate the IQ about like your typical 4-element 300 - 500mm MF tele lens with a TC attached. I found it more likable when used as a long close-up lens than at a distance. It's actually sort of artsy-fun when you play around with the unique bokeh and OOF effects and it's light enough to walk around with for an afternoon at the pond.
Everyone should own one of these even if only for a few months. But, as one US president said about military aircraft around the time of WW I - "can't we just buy one and let'em share it".
