Well... I never thought it would come to this, but I can't justify both this and the 50-135. It's really a wonderful lens and sad to let it go, but alas, funds are scarce and my K10D wants to retire. Did I mention the funky built-in hood?

Here's my personal comparison of the F 135 to the 50-135, with the "winner" for each parameter:

AF speed: F
Sharpness: F
Versatility: DA* (of course)
CA control: DA*
Bokeh: F
Build quality: F
Portability: F
Colour: Same
Magical Rendering Smoothness and Happy Feeling Inside: F

Condition

Both origincal caps included
Mechanically and optically perfect
Some dust inside - check out the last pic below. Not visible in shots taken with the lens.
One small scuff on the outside

Btw i'm surprised that you say F is a winner in build quality over a Top of the line DA * Star Weather sealed lens.

The F has a metal barrel, and along with the compact size that just makes
It feel really solid. Even the built in hood seems more sturdy than the flimsy plastic tulip hood of the 50-135.
