Item Description
For sale is a SMC Pentax-DA 14mm F2.8 ED [IF].

Includes S100-120 soft-case and PH-RBH lens-hood. No package or manuals.

This lens is in excellent shape and the glass is perfect. The lens hood was bought brand new in January 2011 directly from Pentax Canada and cost CAD77 alone! (When I acquired it, the original lens hood was lost.)

The only reason I am selling is because relative to the available space in my travel bag, I don't use it enough.

This lens has one great trick up it's sleeve: it close focuses down to 17cm, for a 1:5 magnification which allows some dramatic perspectives that you can't get with most UWA zooms.

For those who have never handled one, the build quality is a reassuring. It's hybrid between the DA Ltd's and the DA* lenses. The body is solid anodized aluminum like the DA Ltd's and the Quick-Shift focus ring and distance scale are similar to the DA* lenses.

Also available is a 77m Sigma DG UV filter for USD $30.
