Hello. slightly off topic. What is the strap that you see in the pictures?
My K-x's battery compartment is kind of broken and rightly just holding it with elastic bands.
Was wondering if these kind of straps would do the job of holding the battery compartment door in place. Thanks

Siva,

Its a dSLR hand strap. It screws into the tripod socket at the bottom of the camera and then the strap ties into the one strap anchor on the body. It provides a convenient way for carrying a camera without dealing with a long strap.

This one I bought on eBay. Just do a search for "dSLR hand strap" and you will get a large number of hits.
