Here are some beauties that I can only reluctantly persuade myself to sell. I have been moving away from manual focus but have found it hard to part with lenses that I may not encounter again. Ah well, I would like to be able to see my desk underneath the camera gear. All these lenses are designed for film, but effective on digital, and will cover "full frame" if and when that materializes.
The SMC 135/2.5 is one of the best 135mm lenses Pentax ever made and deserves its stellar reputation. This one is in great shape with clear glass, just a few internal dust specks, and minimal external signs of use. Aperture and focus operation is silky smooth. I don't use the focal length much, though, and prefer autofocus options. I've barely used it since I bought it from KEH in Excellent condition. What appear to be original front and rear caps are included.
The Rikenon lens is in very nice shape. The impression of a like-new lens is marred only by a small scratch on the hood, as shown in the pictures below. Glass is clear, except for some minor dust and debris as you might expect in a lens of this age. Unusually enough, it comes with all original accessories which are almost like-new themselves. If there are any Ricoh collectors out there, this is for you! For the rest of us, this is a fairly fast 300mm lens with reasonable size for hand-holding, a built-in tripod mount, and decent close focus ability. IQ is decent if a little soft wide open, and improves with stopping down. There can be some purple fringing in areas of high contrast, despite the "APO" designation, as can be expected form an older telephoto lens. Included is a UV filter, front and rear caps, case and strap, paperwork and original box. (The box is beat up, as shown. Disregard the lens cap from my DA35 macro, accidentally in one of the pictures.) This was a high end lens in its day, with the original sticker price of $570 still on the box as shown. I used it with the Pentax-F 1.7x AFA, which would auto-focus in decent light, giving a nice way to get an AF 500mm lens; alas my TC stopped working, so now the lens is available. Stats available
here.
The "K" 80-200mm zoom is as far as I know identical in every way to the more common Pentax-M 80-200, but for the labeling. It is a bit of a dinosaur, large, heavy and solid with a one-touch zoom and a relatively slow constant aperture. Zoom creep is an issue, and it does have a ding in the built-in hood. But IQ is great! Check out the zoo pictures below. Glass is clear and all manual operation is sooth. I have an off-brand front cap and a Pentax rear cap of the correct vintage if not original, plus a generic case.
If you find the goods to be in anyway other than as described I will be happy to refund your money upon return. If you have any questions, please ask! Paypal is preferred for payment, other methods are negotiable. No marking as a gift for international customs purposes. And while lower offers will be entertained, full price offers will take them.
Thanks for looking, Nick
