Exif

hi, today I need a program to view all! the EXIF info and to batch edit the author, copyright, comments and other fields.... I mainly need to add my info in the author and copyright tags but if you know a program able to edit all the EXIF tags it'll be interesting.
In other post of this forum I see PhotoME and it really show all the EXIF info but has not yet batch editing.

Thanks for your answers.-

You need to provide us with a little bit more information - such as what OS you are using.

Exiftool is a very powerful program and it does not require you to go out and get PERL - easy enough to do but not necessary, on a windows PC. On Linux - PERL is just there - and apparently for Mac's the situation is close to Windows. On Windows it is a command line tool.

However on Windows - there are additional alternatives.
Opanda Power Exif Opanda.com - Professional Photography Software (DigitalFilm, PowerExif Editor, IExif Viewer, PhotoFilter)
EXIFEditor :: kiwi's digital experiment ::
plus if you are running XP you can download the MS freebe PhotoInfo (which I use a lot) Microsoft Photo Info

There are an abundance of viewers - but they may not allow you to edit - the three tools above allow you to edit selected - not all - EXIF/IPTC fields. (I use EXIFEditor to set up the fields when I scan in my slides - you know - put in the camera/film/lens stuff).

I use ExifPro for such tasks (not free, $20). It can't edit all tags, but author, copyright, comment etc. are editable. You can apply tags to all selected files at once, you can sort by any exif tag.... well lets just say I like it a lot
