Thanks everyone!

I've found that you can get pretty close to them if you have patience. Watch from a distance. Slowly inch your way forward without making any sudden moves. Everytime they stop to look at you, you stop as well. Wait for them to go back to what they were doing, and then inch your way a little closer. Continue doing this and I got within 3 feet of a couple of them and they acted like I wasn't even there.

Having corn helps too.
