I spotted this year old black bear wandering in the woods while driving through Cades Cove, TN. We stopped the car and got some pictures. I got a great 42 second video clip too, but accidentally erased it after showing it to a friend!
This little guy was foraging for food and didn't pay me a bit of attention. It looked like it was going to walk right up to me and only turned to the side when it was about 15 feet away!

Shortly before this, I had gone a little ways into the woods after spotting a large male black bear. I didn't get any decent shots of him because the auto focus kept picking up branches between me and the bear. When I switched to manual focus and crept closer, the bear CHARGED ME!!! It was only a bluff charge of about 4 VERY FAST steps, but it sure got me out of the woods in a HURRY!!! I know you're not supposed to run from bears, but I couldn't help it, I turned tail & ran! Ha ha - you sound like a nutter to me ! Great shot !

You can still recover the video if you haven't taken any more shots with that card.

I need to find out how to recover lost video. Does anyone know the steps of how to do what Frogfish was suggesting?

I'm also posting 3 shots of the bear that charged me. They are completely out of focus, with all of the branches in between, but you can get an idea of why I tried to get a better, unobstructed shot! Shortly after the last shot here, is when he charged. He was probably about 65 yards away, and I was about 15 yards into the woods, so I figured running was my best option.

I don't think I'm very nuts, but my wife might agree with you!!!
