The temple

OK, this is the first photo I post here.
This is a really nice spot in central Madrid, where there's a park featuring an authentic Egyptian temple (Templo de Debod) on top of a hill. It's been photographed to death, and I'll probably go back myself to try and get the perfect shot. For the time being this'll have to do
Cheers

Edit: for some reason clicking the link opens two tags (at least in my navigator), one with the photo in the same size and one with the larger size version (which is what I wanted). Sorry about that, I probably didn't follow the forum's instructions correctly (and Flickr's new layout and linking system doesn't help either)

Clicking the image does that because all images are auto-resized here, and linked to the original. Thus, if the original is linked to begin with, you'll see two photos. You can disable this feature in the user cp if you'd like- see the recent announcement about it in the news forum.

Great photo, btw! Beautiful colors in the sky, and very nice lighting on the stones by the sun - almost looks like gold!

Thanks Adam, I'm glad you like it.
I'm not sure I understood why I get the two tabs with the different photo sizes, but I'll check out the announcement you mention.

Thanks for the kind comments guys. I'm particularly fond of this shot and a few others I took that day (two of them became my first two in the PPG, by the way),as that's when I began to understand what DSLRs are about, and what a capable camera the K-x is.

PS: if I remember correctly, the temple was a gift from the Egyptian government in the 60s, to thank the Spanish government for its collaboration in saving the Abu Simbel temples from being covered by the waters following the construction of the Aswan dam.
