Pollen gatherers

Here are a few visitors who stopped by my garden over the last few weeks...

1. Honeybee on echinacea #1

Pentax K10D + Pentax DA50-200 F4-5.6
200mm, f/5.6, 1/200s, ISO100


2. Wasp on snowberry

Pentax K10D + Pentax DA50-200 F4-5.6
200mm, f/8.0, 1/800s, ISO400


3. Honeybee on echinacea #2

Pentax K10D + Sigma 17-70 F2.8-4.5
70mm, f/8.0, 1/1000s, ISO400


4. Bumblebee on echinacea

Pentax K10D + Sigma 17-70 F2.8-4.5
48mm, f/8.0, 1/180s, ISO100

#1 à #3 have been cropped to various degrees. #4 is as framed on the camera.

Excellent shots all of them. Who ever said that the Da 50-200 wasn't a great lens in the right hands? My only C&C would be the last shot needs some cropping with the shadow on the lower right flower petals. otherwise wonderful work!

Beautiful. I LOVE the POV of the 1st one with just flower, bee, and sky... no green to be seen

Nice shots! Got to agree with no. 1... top notch with that blue sky in the background.

Thanks for the comments, guys. However, the "blue sky" in the first one is actually... an inground swimming pool :-) I really like the colors, though.

number one is definitely the best, all are super shots though. The shadow in the last shot is a bit distracting but you'd need a large crop to keep the balance in the shot.
