This bug was only about 1/2" long and I thought it looked like a lobster... Strange beasts are out there once you go macro.....

The world of macro can be a totally different universe.I think that your lobster bug is a katydid and they like to hang out in many bushes.I took some shots a couple of days ago of the same type..--charliezap

That was the built-in flash on my K-5 at -1.0.
