Travel Sights of Surabaya

This is my K-5's maiden trip, first stopping off on Indonesia's 2nd largest city, Surabaya.

Aside from the oppressive heat and humidity, the thick smog, sewer stence and chaotic way of life in the city hits you quickly upon arrival. There is a lot of poverty here, but a few shining spots both presented here:

Inner city:

Thanks to you both.
It was challenging shooting in those conditions. ISO 6400 came in handy in a number of shots I tooke there.

Hi, Ash. I'm a Pentax user and I live in Surabaya. Nice perspective of the city you got here.
Just a small correction on the title of the fourth picture, it's not Hilton but Sheraton.

Thanks for the correction. I did get around to a number of hotels that day.
