Just got back from a 4day/3night trip in Cambodia.
Phnom Penh and Siem Reap were the two main visited cities.
I wanted to travel light so I only took the K10D and 2 lenses (DA35/2.8 and Sigma 17-70) with me along with the speed light Nikon SB24. The speed light was a must and thanks to the folks on PF who have recommended me to bring it. I took over 1,000 pictures and I'm still sorting them out. Here are some that passed the QC check
1. Tuk-tuk driver waiting for a client. It's different than the ones you see in Thailand while having the same name.
1.a The bridge where over 350 people died last year due to human stampede. It used to be yellow but the government repaint it after the accident.
1.b The horror of Pol Pot. Security Prison 21.
1.c It was a high school converted to a prison where almost 20,000 people were held and tortured then killed.
1.d
2. The Royal Palace in Phnom Penh
3. The main gate viewed from the inside. This gate is only open to the royal family.
4. Monks are omnipresent in Cambodia.
4.a Ancient bridge on our way to Siem Reap
5. Frontal view of Angkor Wat. Really hard to take a snap without having someone in between the lens and the temple...
6. Inside Angkor Wat.
7. Touched it and felt it
8. People climbing up the temple to watch the sunset
9. Cambodia is still a very poor country hence scenes like this one is very common. Hopefully, they won't stay for long...
