World's Highest Buildings - Almost.
Lens: DA 15 Ltd Camera: K5 Photo Location: Shanghai ISO: 80
Posted By: Frogfish, 10-11-2011, 10:40 PM

Cross-Posted.

Part of a series of shots I'm still processing from the just passed Chinese National Day holiday.

Pearl Oriental Tower, Shanghai (actually higher than the Jinmao below but not by occupied floors/viewing platform).

The WFC (left - 2nd highest building in the world) and Jinmao (right - 5th highest building in the world). On the right you can just about see the construction of what will be the new 2nd highest building in the world (but only for about 3 months until they finish the one in Guangzhou) !!

Kevin, all are superior. You have a knack of taking night photos that most do not have, great lens selection.

Hi
Jeeze, I was in Shanghai early May this year for 6 days not once did I get one clear day for good photos. But I guess this is the advantage when you live in the place. Will be back next year again, maybe then.

Greetings

Ha ha - there are actually lots of beautiful days here, weeks of them at a time sometimes, the key is just hitting the right spell of course. The high humidity can wreck even the best laid plans.

Hi
Story of my live, always miss the perfect day. Get to hear this a lot when I go skiing, when I am there the weather is foul; "You should have been here yesterday, it was sensational!"

Greetings
