Black & White Kite Surfing

I was shooting some of the SA Kitesurfing Tour on the weekend (for fun), and with the angle somewhat into the sun, the shadows and colors were a bit of a problem. So I decided to try B&W transforms, and I think they have worked out fairly well.

nice shots, I think they work well. I like #2, almost a silhouette against the highlighted water splash behind.

What do you know.! My photo #3 got used for a logo for a kite-surfing event. All ligitimately as they approached me and offered to buy, but based on what they intended to use it for and my long association with sailing/windsurfing, just decided to let them go ahead and use it. Did a course last year, but not yet riding a kite properly. Would love to visit this place and get a bit more training. I need it, along with some shallow warm water to practice in.

Thanks. That is the image they turned into a logo with it being a dramatic silhouette and suitable for 2 color print.
