Low (No) Light success @ Jazz Festival
Lens: Sigma APO 70-200 f2.8 EX DG OS HSM Camera: Pentax K-7 Photo Location: Mt Gambier ISO: 1600 Shutter Speed: 1/200s Aperture: F2.8

Went to the Generations in Jazz festival with the schools band for the annual competition, and Friday/Saturday night were live entertainment for the somewhat 2,500+ other school students and the teachers and about 1000 others. The main entertainment was in a huge circus tent with only spot stage lighting.

It was only days before that I seen on this forum how it was possible to shoot about ISO 800 with the K-7 and took a mental note of Adams settings (BIG Thanks Adam).

So I had a go at applying them.... the ISO was 2000 @f2.8 125s - 350s all in RAW(PEF)

These images are only a light de-noise editing, colour and everything else is as shoot.

great shots here! The lighting is very even, your compositions are good, and you caught the performers in great poses, facial expressions. nice!

You caught the high notes, the low notes and everything in between. The facial expressions on the first and last shots are great.

Great shots and it's nice to see former Top Gear Australia presenter, James Morrison Highlights, working at his 'day job'
