Portrait | Winter series.
Lens: FA*85 Camera: K5IIs Photo Location: Frederick, MD

My fiance found out that we don't have a lot of pictures taken during snowing day, and since we left Buffalo NY 2 yrs ago, we kind of miss snow already. lol. Anyway, when we realize it will be snowing in the area from the weather channel, we set out to take pictures 'with' the snow. These pics were taken on 2 consecutive days, first day was after snowing, and the 2nd day we want to take picture while it is still snowing. We both catch a cold on the 2nd day and slept the whole day afterwards. LOL. Feel free to comment... my friends said this series of photos has some "korean movie" style in it. I am not sure what that means.
f-stops were between f/1.4 - f/2.0, iso 80, shutter speed between 1/1000 - 1/1400 (I believe).

btw.... K5IIs is very addictive to use. Whenever possible, I pull out K5IIs more than K5. When I first got my K5, I still miss my K200, but since I get K5IIs, I didn't use K5 that much. It is really good. I will get 's' version of Pentax camera from now on...

These are some fantastic shots. Number 8 seems to be my favorite, and it's hard to say which is my second favorite because all the others are just great. I can kinda understand why your friends say that they have a Korean movie feel to them.

#3 is my fav. Stark color contrast between the bland background and the bright clothing.

I am kind of favorite the light, clean, bright style of shooting lately, still trying to figure to perfect the feel.

Thanks! The skirt she bought like 10 yrs ago and never wear it since it is too short, but when she try to find a red color skirt, that is the only one... glad she kept the skirt. ^^

Great series. Love the choice of colorful clothes against the monochromatic background. Well done!

Good point! she didn't makeup before and this is the first time she try to apply some makeup (the 2nd day shot w/ red shirt).... as a result those shots with straight eyes didn't turn out as she would like to. Makeup for small eyes are difficult... LOL....
