Quantaray 70-300 F4-5.6 example
Posted By: Kitanis, 01-07-2007, 10:07 PM

In the lens section there was a question about the Quantaray 70-300 F4-5.6 Zoom lens for sale at Ritz Camera.com... here is a example at about 250mm F5.0.

The lens dose not come up as a Tamron in Photoshop CS3 Beta. But the lens dose indeed resemble the Tamron 70-300 DI when you look at it. The focusing with it is actually quite fast suprisenly enough.

Nothing fancy, just a quick shot as it was too cold to do extensive shooting with the winds around here today.

Have a hiking buddy who has one of these and loves it, especially for the bokeh, such as you have captured here. Tip; crop a little off the right and 1/4 of the shot off the top and you will have a more dynamic shot with the bird facing into the photo instead of centered.
Cheers.

It is amazing detail for a budget zoom.
Nice work, I wish that I could get a bird to pose like that.
