For those who think you can never see to many redpolls.
Lens: Sigma 70-300 macro Camera: K-01 Photo Location: Whitney, Ontario, Canada ISO: 800

I was taking some shots with the K-01 just to see how it would perform with a longer lens. ( I love it as a walk around camera with the 40mm of 21 ltd onit). It gets mixed reviews, with a slow lens the AF was slower and had trouble locking focus, once locked on target it was fine. There's nothing wrong with the images. Still it's a camera probably better used with fast WA lenses. I must say, being able to stand back and watch the live view as opposed to bent over peering through the viewfinder is nice.

Too many Redpolls ? Say it ain't so ....my bird classification is getting better but no where near yours - I would have referred to these are the small birds ha! I would agree with your assessment on the camera lens combo - once locked on seems fine to me.

I'd go even further, once locked on it seems better. I usually apply sharpening to birds after the preset. These shots are neither spot "sharpened" nor do they have spot "definition" applied, after the preset. That's a pretty standard practice for me with birds. These didn't seem to need it.
